Ecofuels is developing two properties in the Southern Riverina and Victoria to form the core of a significant cattle backgrounding operation.

The properties, south of Deniliquin and east of Echuca, will produce cattle for sale into both the local and overseas markets.

The major focus will be on diary stock with a lesser, but still significant, beef herd.

Stock feed products generated by the Biodiesel sector of the company will supply the cattle feeding operations.

Ecofuels has now completed the registration of quarantine facilities at each of its sites and these assets, in addition to the grazing land attached, form a strong platform for the continued expansion of this programme.

The installation of 3 lateral move and 4 centre pivot irrigators has further enhanced the group’s ability to produce pasture cost effectively.

An associated company licensed to export livestock completes the integration of all operations from feed production, both grazing and supplements, to overseas sale.
